Double Helical Ribbon Blenders for High-Speed Mixing
The Ribbon Blender is the workhorse of the dry powder processing industry. Ven-Tech’s design features a U-shaped horizontal trough with a specially engineered double helical agitator.
Working Principle:
The agitator consists of two ribbons: an outer ribbon that moves material toward the centre discharge and an inner ribbon that pushes material toward the ends. This counter-current action creates a vigorous mixing environment, generating a fluidized bed that ensures rapid and homogenous blending, typically within 15 to 20 minutes.
Key Engineering Features:
- Dead-Zone Elimination: We maintain a precision clearance (3-5mm) between the ribbon tip and the trough shell to prevent material stagnation, ensuring that every gram of product is part of the mix.
